CNC Machining
Machining wasn't always controlled by computers, but with the advent and near-universal use of computer aided design (CAD) to create components and assemblies in modern engineering and design, it is now an absolute requirement to leverage CNC (Computer Numeric Control) machine tools in the creation of metal and plastic machined parts. MechArtisan LLC offers prototype and short run CNC machining services to its clients as part of its well rounded portfolio of services. We can produce machined goods in all engineering-grade plastics as well as Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Brass and Bronze. To engage a client in a CNC project, we typically need a 3D CAD model with which CNC code can be generated. If such a 3D CAD model is not available, we can create 3D models from 2D CAD data, detailed 2D machining print or even from a pencil and paper sketch. Pricing typically involves the cost of material, the time necessary to modify CAD data and generate the CNC code, and the time to set up and run the parts.
